Music Lessons

At Dunalley a range of external music lesson providers come into school and provide solo and group tuition during the school day. Lessons are delivered on a rota so that children don't miss the same subject time and again. Please see the individual registration forms for more information and costs.

Music with Anna

Anna offers lessons in clarinet, saxophone, flute, dood and recorder for our children on a Thursday. Some children learn in groups of three and others on their own.

She has over 15 years of teaching experience both in the UK for Coventry, Worcestershire and Warwickshire Music services, and also in the US where she taught in private and public schools in the Boston area.

Anna also has a wide range of performance experience, encompassing classical, rock, blues, folk and avant garde music.

LetsPlay Drums

Lessons are during school hours, one to one tuition or groups of two. Available to children from 5 years of age and up.

No books are needed for the first term, folders are provided with all the reference material that they will need. It is not essential that each student has their own drum kit to start with.

We can advise in purchasing the right kit including recommending electronic kits which can be played with headphones.

LetsPlay Guitar

Lessons are during school hours in small groups of 2 or 3, private lessons can be arranged on request (please get in touch for details). Playing music with others promotes good timing and listening skills, it also motivates students to practice and allows them to enjoy their hobby with their friends.

Each child must have their own guitar. We have a number of hire guitars available, please contact us for details. If you are purchasing a guitar we can help advise you.

No books are needed for the first few terms as we provide folders with all the reference material that they will need.
