A Night at the Musicals' inspires Year 4, 5, & 6
What a spectacular treat! Our students in Years 4, 5, and 6 were captivated by a fantastic production of 'A Night at the Musicals,' performed by talented students from Pittville School.
The performance offered a delightful flavour of some of the world's most iconic musicals, leaving our children genuinely inspired and entertained. We were particularly thrilled to see lots of Dunalley's previous students fulfilling their potential on the stage. Witnessing former pupils achieve such creative excellence was a truly fantastic and motivating experience for our current students.
A huge thank you to the Pittville School performers for an unforgettable afternoon!

Nursery and Preschool Christmas Performance
What a fabulous occasion this was! The children were very brave and performed all of their songs brilliantly in front of a packed hall full of their parents and carers. All of the Nursery and Preschool staff were extremely proud of all of the children.
A huge thank you to all of our children’s adults for supporting this event and being there to watch and encourage your children. I’m sure you were as proud of them as we were.
We finished our event with a Stay and Play where the children and their adults could explore both inside and outside our classrooms – luckily the weather was on our side. This seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by both the children and their grown ups.
WELL DONE to all of our Nursery and Preschool children – YOU ARE AMAZING!

Family Snowman Competition 2025
We are excited to launch our family snowman making competition. Building on the success of last year's competition, we invite you all to make a snowman that can sit on school window sills during the winter months. We hope that the following pictures will inspire you.
Please bring your entries to school ASAP. The competition will be judged in the final week of term, so you have a couple of weeks to make your entry. Please label your snowman clearly and make sure that he is able to sit on a window sill (which is 25cm deep).

Supporting Our Dunalley Community This Christmas
Our Dunalley community is vibrant and diverse in every way, which means our children experience Christmas differently. For some families, this time of year can be challenging due to financial pressures, making it difficult to put gifts under the tree or afford festive treats.
Our community has always been incredibly generous in supporting CCP’s Hamper Scamper, and we are so grateful for that. This year, we’ve decided to first create hampers for families within our school who receive free school meals, before forwarding any additional donations to CCP.
If you would like to contribute to these Christmas boxes of joy, please leave any of the following items in the school foyer by 9am Monday 15th December:
- Christmas savoury snacks
- Mince pies
- Christmas biscuit selection
- Santa-themed chocolates or selection box
- Hot chocolate & marshmallows
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in helping us spread festive cheer to every family in our community.

Think Pharmacy First for convenient and expert clinical advice and treatment
Pharmacy First enables community pharmacists to assess, treat and, where clinically appropriate, prescribe prescription-only medicines for seven common health conditions, without the need to visit a GP. All pharmacies in Gloucestershire provide this service.
Most of the seven conditions are likely to be common amongst school-age children. Using the Pharmacy First service will be more convenient and quicker than making an appointment at a GP surgery.
The seven health conditions and age ranges are:
- Sinusitis (aged 12 and over)
- Sore throat (aged 5 and over)
- Shingles (aged 18 and over)
- Earache (children aged 1 to 17)
- Impetigo (aged 1 and over)
- Infected insect bite (aged 1 and over)
- Urinary tract infection (women aged 16 to 64)
People can get treatment for these conditions by walking into a pharmacy, via a formal electronic referral from their GP surgery or via NHS111. All pharmacies have private consultation rooms so that concerns can be discussed in confidence.
If the pharmacist is unable to treat the illness, they will recommend the most appropriate alternative services.
Community pharmacy teams are highly skilled, qualified healthcare professionals and experts in medicines.
