Our Exceptional Learners for this term

RU 

Sylvia

Sylvia is a great role model to her peers- she listens well, contributes to discussions and is kind and helpful. She also always has a smile.

Phoebe 

Phoebe always shows that she is ready, respectful and safe. She listens carefully, is a kind friend and shows enthusiasm towards learning.  

1F 

Henry

Henry’s progress in his learning has been exceptional this term. He has attended Early Birds every day which has had a massive impact on his learning. He is also a kind, thoughtful little boy who shows empathy to his friends and people around him. Well done, Henry – you really are a shining star! 

1TH 

Max

Max is a kind, friendly, and caring member of the class who always has a positive attitude to both life and his learning. He approaches all aspects of his learning with enthusiasm, always striving to do his best. His kindness, dedication, and positive approach make him a real credit to the class and a great role model. 

2W 

Joshua 

Joshua is one of those children who you can ALWAYS rely on to quietly get on and do everything he is asked to do. He has taken on advice given to him and because he is listening well and acting on advice, he is making progress. He supports his classmates really well too. What a terrific role model, Joshua. 

2SF 

Tessa

Tessa has grown in confidence so much this term. She is a happy learner who tries hard all the time. She shows kindness to her friends and teachers and has attended Early Birds on time and regularly this term. Well done Tessa. 

3A 

Ella

Ella always has a positive attitude to learning. She tries to do her best in all lessons, even when she finds the learning tricky, as for example in maths. She never gives up. She is most attentive listener and a great role model for other children in her class. She has also achieved 100% attendance this term. Well done, Ella.  

3OF 

Lily

Lily is a positive, hardworking member of 3OF. She has made great progress this term in all aspects of her learning. We have been impressed with her can do attitude and willingness to talk about when she finds learning hard. She is thoughtful, kind and caring which unsurprisingly makes her a popular member of the class.  

4P 

Eden

Eden is a fantastic role model. She always works hard, takes part in class discussions and is kind to her peers. She shows great passion and determination towards her class work and is a lovely, respectful member of the class. 

4MP 

Jacob

Jacob is a calm and dependable member of 4MP, who shows RESPECT to all. He is a great role model to others as he listens carefully and will contribute willingly to class discussions. It has been particularly lovely to see his writing develop since the start of Year 4.

5R 

Elian 

A great role model in class and to the younger children. He works hard at all times and shows resilience and determination when finding something challenging. 

5H 

Harrison  

Harrison has wowed me this half term with exceptional progress, a can-do positive attitude and a huge improvement in independent learning. He has put in excellent effort and seen great results. Well done! 

6NJ 

Niamh  

Niamh’s progress has been exceptional in all areas of the curriculum. She is working really hard and has achieved success through a big improvement in her focus and determination to learn. Niamh is also considerate towards others in the class, helping all to feel included, and is modest about her own achievements in activities outside of school. A fantastic term. Well done. 

6LJ 

Herbie   

Herbie has made exceptional progress in maths this term. In addition, he has been an outstanding positive play partner and a wonderful role model to other members of the class. Well done, Herbie—keep up the fantastic work! 

Reception Performance

Reception did a wonderful job of performing their Nativity play to their families on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you to parents for your support with their amazing costumes!

Hamper Scamper - Thank You

We would like to thank everyone that donated festive-related food to our Hamper Scamper appeal.  Due to the generosity of our community, 20 families within the school will be receiving a small hamper this Christmas.

PTFA News

Winter Raffle and Christmas Fair Fundraising Total

We are thrilled to announce the grand total raised! Thanks to everyone's efforts, between the Winter Raffle and the Christmas Fair, we successfully raised an outstanding £2,161.12!

All proceeds will go towards enriching the educational experience of our pupils, including:

  • New playground equipment to encourage active play and outdoor learning
  • A visiting Planetarium during British Science Week to inspire curiosity in STEM
  • Author visits for Dunalley’s Literature Festival to spark imagination and a love of reading.

This week we received our new sports kit ready for our upcoming sports fixtures.

Christmas Lunch

On Thursday, the children enjoyed their Christmas Lunch.  The lunch-time staff created a festive atmosphere with table decorations and Christmas music.

Thanks also go to Dolce Ltd, our catering team for making the meal so special.

Staff News

This week we have said a sad farewell to Teresa Stephens. Teresa has been part of our Dunalley community for 22 years, working as part of the Premises Team.

She will be greatly missed. The children have created some wonderful cards for her final day today.

We wish her the very best for her future and hope she'll be in to see us.
