Dear Year 2 parents and carers,

Happy New Year to you all from all of us! We hope that you all had a lovely family time during the holidays.

Following the Curriculum meeting on Wednesday morning, please find attached the PDF of the slides with all the information included.

This term, our maths homework will mostly be linked to what we have been learning during the week, it will sometimes be homework to reinforce what we have learned previously that might need revisiting.

In the next few weeks, we will have a Times Tables Rock Stars launch when we get to the unit on times tables. You’ll know when it starts! We will send out passwords again then, should you need it (it’s the same as the NumBots password!).

For spelling homework, we will send home words that we have been learning in school. They will be sent home as a set of spellings with a picture to represent the word. There will not be a spelling test on the words. Instead, we will be looking to see the children use them in their writing. If you do have time, it would be very beneficial to practise the words in any way that you like. Don’t hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher if we can support you with this at home.

We’ve got a very exciting term ahead, hopefully that excitement will leave the classroom and be shared with you at home!
