Dunalley Primary School Debt Policy Summary:
The school has implemented a debt policy to ensure funds meant for children's education are not used to cover unpaid debts. The policy applies to chargeable services such as school meals (for junior children), Dunalley Nursery & Pre-School, and Earlies and Lates (before and after school clubs).
School Meals (Junior Children):
- Infant children receive free meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals initiative.
- Families must pay for junior children's meals via SchoolGrid, which also provides menus.
- If payment is missed, the school may allow a debt of 1 meal, which must be cleared the next day.
- Persistent non-payment may lead to the child needing a packed lunch or being taken home for lunch. Legal action or reporting to Social Services may follow for repeated non-payment.
Dunalley Nursery & Pre-School:
- Families are invoiced for sessions and costs, payable via BACS. Payments are not accepted at the nursery.
Earlies and Lates (Clubs):
- Payments must be made in advance via ParentPay. No payments are accepted at the clubs.
- A debt allowance of 1 session may be granted but must be cleared the next day. Future sessions require advance payment.
The policy aims to help families manage payments effectively while ensuring funds are allocated to children's education.
